10 Reasons I'm Excited the NBA is Back
Finally getting to watch the OKC Thunder take the West.
Da Bulls and Lupe Fiasco’s #SmelltheRoses Tweets about the greatness of Derrick Rose.
This may be the last season I get to watch Steve Nash and Grant Hill play.
Ricky Rubio’s passing and my fellow Arizona Wildcat Derrick Williams’ athleticism combine to make the Timberwolves more exciting to watch than the Lakers and the...

This has absolutely nothing to do with traveling,...
Three Men and a Baby is an amazing movie, if only for the awesome ’80s clothes. I mean check out this Tom Selleck look:
Holy hipster Batman.
Plus I saw an Internet rumor that there’s going to be a Three Men and a Bride! Check out the movie poster:
Though I’m not sure about the casting for Mary, or if this is even true.

A Catalan Christmas - NYTimes →
The New York Times has a beautiful article on the Christmas traditions in Barcelona, Spain. My brief time in Barcelona was tainted by a very kind man who decided to steal many of my family’s possessions, but this article has made me want to go back over Christmas and feel the Spanish love.

My list of movies to see before the Oscars
By: A girl who knows nothing about movies but who happens to work at the top entertainment industry newspaper.
(Though this has nothing to do with traveling, it has everything to do with what I do on a daily basis. Here’s my take on which flicks to see or skip.)
My taste in movies isn’t always on par with what the Academy thinks are great movies - Clueless and She’s The Man...

I can officially say, I didn't do this. →
I did not kiss the grave of Oscar Wilde when I was at Pere Lachaise. I’m sad that people will no longer get to express their appreciation for the writer, but also glad that his final resting place will be preserved.

Ever wonder what the world's friendliest countries... →
Lonely Planet’s got the answer. I was surprised by most of the countries.
There were some serious winds in LA last night. Check out the palm trees by LACMA. The one on the left looks like it might not make it.
LAist calls it Windpocalypse. Why? Because we in LA can’t have something happen without making it sound like it’s the end of the world. See: Carmageddon.
The first to apologize is the bravest. The first to forgive is the strongest....
– Not sure who said this or if it’s some ancient maxim, but dang, if those aren’t words to live by.
