There’s an eagle in the mall!
Last weekend I was walking through the mall and was stopped by a large bird with its wings spread as if about to take off in LUSH, the bath products store. You’re thinking, “Strange.” My thought, too.
LUSH was sponsoring Liberty Wildlife, a wildlife rehabilitation center in Scottsdale, Ariz., and Liberty brought along Phoenix, a male hawk/eagle, who Liberty rescued after avian flu scarred his lungs making him unable to hunt and suffering from a hurt wing. (I’m not even going to pretend I know if he’s a hawk or an eagle.)
Needless to say Phoenix drew a lot of attention to himself and to Liberty Wildlife. I hope they were able to save many more animals like Phoenix.
