Here’s what is most pertinent to my blog, and therefore to my life:
As Dr. Pillemer summarized the elders’ view, “Travel is so rewarding that it should take precedence over other things younger people spend money on.” Create a bucket list now and start whittling it down.
I realize how much I’ve learned and grown in the past five years. I can’t imagine how much I’ll learn by the time I’m 80. Bring it on!

The New York Times has a beautiful article on the Christmas traditions in Barcelona, Spain. My brief time in Barcelona was tainted by a very kind man who decided to steal many of my family’s possessions, but this article has made me want to go back over Christmas and feel the Spanish love.

This is some pretty solid advice. Even though I graduated with a journalism degree and am currently working at a newspaper. It’s still good to get a refresher course on how to write for an audience, and not just for yourself.

As an English major in college, this article had me at the title. I’ve read some of both Shelley and Byron’s works, as well Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein,” which was written at Lake Geneva. The article’s a great combination of history and travel.
