My not-so-much Joshua Tree pictures from the National Park
On my trip home I pulled off the I-10 into the Joshua Tree National Park right before Indio, California. Having seen the Entourage episode where the guys go into the park, eat ‘shrooms and trip out, I wanted to have my own sober experience in the park. My aim was to take some pictures of the gorgeous Joshua Trees and walk around for a few minutes. Unfortunately, the park has very poor cell service so when I tried to look up what Joshua Trees looked like, I couldn’t. And unfortunately I had a brain fart and forgot that Joshua Trees are very distinctive with a weird other-worldly look to them, so I assumed the trees I was looking at were them and snapped away. Plus, I didn’t want to go too far into the park so as to pay the entrance fee.
I still think the pictures are interesting, but maybe that’s just me.
Hopefully on my next trip home I’ll remember what Joshua Trees actually look like and take some pictures of them.

More pictures from the Gateway Loop hike in Scottsdale. Sometimes the desert is just plain beautiful, even though it seems as arid and unforgiving as Mars.

Pictures from my hike up the Gateway Loop in Scottsdale, Arizona. It takes about an hour and a half to hike the loop but there are some epic views of the Sonoran Desert and Phoenix from this hike, if you’re willing to huff and puff to get there.

Never thought I would say this: Damn, that’s beautiful.
The view from my friend’s house in the foothills of Tucson, Arizona.
