Instead of booking a pricey and tiny hotel room in Montreal, my family and I rented someone’s apartment for the weekend a la The Holiday. The apartment was perfect and had lots of character, however the downstairs bathroom was a bit strange. With no door to section it off from the living area, this bathroom doesn’t even have a toilet. Nope, just a urinal. One of the strangest design decisions I’ve ever encountered. Still sad I never tried to use it. Photograph by me. July 2012.
