Located adjacent to the Freedom Trail, the Omni Parker House is rife with history. It is the birthplace of Boston’s signature dessert, the Boston cream pie. And that’s not all. JFK proposed to Jackie at table 40 in the hotel’s restaurant. Malcolm X was a busboy in the same restaurant in the 1940s. Meanwhile, in the 1910s, Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh was a baker in the hotel’s bakery. Perhaps he baked some Boston cream pie during his time in the states.
It’s not a very good picture, but I think the history behind the hotel is very interesting.
